Women's Hoops Finish Season Ranked No. 1

The Westmont Women's basketball team closed out the season ranked No. 1 in the nation after winning its fifth straight Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament Championship on March 7. The No. 7 Westmont men won the GSAC Regular Season Championship.
The women's team, which ended the season with a record of 27-3, also won the GSAC Regular Season Championship.
Head coach Kirsten Moore was named the GSAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year. Maud Ranger, Lauren Tsuneishi, Iyree Jarrett and Stefanie Berberabe were all named to the All-GSAC Team.
The men compiled a record of 26-5, 15-3 (GSAC). Head coach John Moore was named the GSAC Coach of the Year. Abram Carrasco was named the GSAC Player of the Year. Carrasco and Justin Bessard were named to the All-GSAC team.
The NAIA canceled all winter sports championships, including the men’s and women’s basketball national championships, due to concerns over COVID-19 on March 12.
