Inaugural Swim Team Strokes to Finals

The Westmont women’s swimming team competes in its first Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships February 12-15 at East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park. The Warriors have already qualified for three individual and five relay events at the NAIA National Championships March 4-7 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Rian Lewandowski, a freshman kinesiology major from Mesa, Arizona, qualified for a spot in the National Championships in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.22) the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.90), the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.79) and achieved the bonus qualification in the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.15).
Morgan Bienias, a freshman biology major from Corona, California, earned national qualifications in the 200-yard backstroke (2:11.81), the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.54), the 500-yard freestyle (5:21.07), the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:21.00) and achieved the bonus qualification in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.99).
Bailey Lemmon, a freshman communication studies major from Scotts Valley, California, posted national qualification times in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.26), the 100-yard freestyle (53.98) and the 50-yard freestyle (24.64).
