Friday Night Concert Features Singing Alumna

Soprano Megan (Silberstein) Billings will perform as part of the music department’s Alumni Spotlight on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. Listen to the free concert at vimeo.com/showcase/westmontmusic. Billings, a 2014 Westmont graduate, will sing recognizable tunes from Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, as well as productions of “Bridges of Madison County” and “Frozen.” Billings, who earned a Master of Music in Opera Performance from Oklahoma City University, has performed professionally in “La Traviata” and “Tosca” with Painted Sky Opera.
Billings has worked as a professional impersonator of Belle, Wonder Woman and Maleficent. She is an Equity Membership Candidate, having performed in "The Music Man" at CityRep and "Titanic" at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. She performed professionally on the live Polar Express Train Ride during its inaugural year in Oklahoma City. She has performed in "The Music Man" (Marian), "Annie" (Grace), "Fiddler on the Roof" (Hodel), "Brigadoon," "She Loves Me," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and "The Magic Flute."
She also teaches piano and music theory, acts in commercials and studies ballet.
